Job Description
The Senior Technical Sales Manager at KOP Mantap Berhad plays a critical role in expanding business opportunities, driving revenue growth, and identifying new market potentials. A strong emphasis is placed on relationship-building, with a focus on leveraging your communication skills and technical expertise to meet the evolving needs of diverse industries.
This role requires a self-starting, highly organized individual with excellent closing abilities and a proactive approach to sales. You will interact with a wide range of clients, from industry leaders to potential buyers, ensuring that our solutions align with their business requirements and goals.
The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of technical sales within Southeast Asia, including a keen ability to identify and seize market opportunities in the Security, Logistics, Technology, and Automotive sectors. Your track record should demonstrate strong sales performance, particularly in corporate environments with a focus on customer satisfaction and long-term relationships.
You will work cross-functionally with departments such as quality, logistics, and engineering to support existing business and develop new projects. Your expertise and insights will also help KOP Mantap drive innovation and enhance product offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead efforts to secure new business, drive growth, and increase revenue across Southeast Asia, with a focus on key sectors such as Security, Technology, and Automotive.
Collaborate with the engineering department to drive new product development based on customer feedback and market trends.
Build and maintain high-level relationships with clients, including government entities, multinational corporations, and leading local businesses.
Leverage strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills to close deals effectively.
Provide technical expertise and insights related to product applications, including Air Intake, HVAC, and Pressure Compensation.
Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to contract closure, ensuring alignment with customer needs.
Analyze market data on customers, competitors, and products to refine sales strategies.
Maintain regular contact with key customers, attending exhibitions and industry events as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or higher.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Automotive Sales or technical sales within OEM or Tier 1 companies.
Proven track record of sales success in selling Automotive Products, Filters, or Ventilation Membranes (including applications like Air Intake, HVAC, and ECU’s).
Strong understanding of business operations, customer needs, and key industry trends.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
Ability to plan and organize effectively, managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
Familiarity with quotation processes, including financial analysis and costing.
Willingness to travel extensively within Southeast Asia, with up to 50% travel expected.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of Lotus Notes is an advantage.
Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Work Location:
This is a full-time position based at KOP Mantap Berhad’s office in Selangor, Malaysia. Frequent travel across Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Southeast Asia region (up to 50%) is required.
